This is Winter Solstice, a.k.a. Winter. Winter has been with me about two weeks now. She will turn four months old on the 29th, so still is very much a growing (or at leaat maturing) girl. She's being owner trained as a Psychiatric Service Dog, as I hear ghost doorbells, alarms and hear people scream in my apartment. I need a dog to alert to stuff like that. Winter is super smart, learning her commands quickly, and is very food motivated. She"s a typical sighthound - thinks with her stomach, lol! She loves to run. She is always bouncing off my futon and chair, taking death-defying leaps off them and making me worry that she'll hurt herself somehow.
Most importantly, she is a power cuddler and is super social. She squeals when I leave the apartment (we're working on that) and screams when kenneled (Another thing we're working on). She's already helped me with my arthritis in my wrist by laying on it (heat therapy). It helps sooth my pain.
I need to get her a new harness as she escapes the one she currently wears. She's TINY!!! I might splurge and get her a fancy ruff wear one - that hopefully will be harder to escape! I love my little brat!
