My best friend's name is Autumn. She is an eight-year-old Bassett Hound that I got up in Maine. She is now living with me in New York. She sure misses the open spaces of the country, but does a good job sniffing the city streets on walks, which are more like ambles with her rolling Bassett gait. Really, the nose walks the hound, I am just there to hold the leash.
Autumn loves to travel with me when I am out on the road, and is the perfect, calming copilot. She has her own doggie seat, and lays with her chin on my leg as I drive. She is just the sweetest, best friend ever, and I love her.
