Wrigley is a five-yea-old Double Doodle. He is more than my furry friend. He is a canine good citizen, won the Stars award and a therapy dog with Therapy Dogs International. He visited nursing facilities in Port Charlotte, Florida until COVID presented itself. He is now visiting a facility by just looking in the windows. The residents enjoy his window visits and long for the day they could hug and hold him. Since I am a RN at the facility, I make sure to take pictures of Wrigley to work, to show my residents.
Wrigley really misses his interaction with the residents. Now, he spends his days at home waiting for the day that he could return to his therapy work and bringing happiness to the elderly generation. He is a very special dog, not just to me, but to many!
