Meet Ollie! He came into my life in February 2020. I had just lost my dog who was 16 years old the previous month, and I definitely had a hole in my heart. I truly believe every dog I've ever had was meant to be with me. I have never chosen a dog; they have always chosen me and Ollie is no different. I actually inquired to a rescue about another dog, but she had already been adopted. We ended the conversation, or so I thought. A few minutes later I received a message with a picture of Ollie, telling me that this dog would soon be available. The conversation went from a promise to keep me posted about him to asking me to foster to adopt him. I immediately jumped Into the car to make the hour long trip to pick him up. The moment I held him, he kissed me all over my face, and it was love at first sight!
Ollie is a goof ball who loves to play with his stuffed carrot. He doesn't do any fancy tricks because his attention span is too short, but he is an expert in giving kisses and cuddles. He loves to soak up the California sun and chase lizards in the backyard. Fortunately for me and the lizards, he's not very good at catching them!
As you can see, he is a very dapper dresser and for his first Halloween with me, he dressed up as a superhero which was a big hit!
