Lilli is two years old in this picture, though she is now almost six, she looks about the same! She is a German Shepherd mix, we don' know with what, as she was adopted from the animal shelter, Lilli is a very smart girl, and though some people think she looks like a big guard dog, can be very gentle. She is friends with my dwarf rabbit, even though he is tiny, and from a prey species, she treats him as a friend, not as dinner!
Lilli has a very thick coat, but it does not get tangled or need much brushing, except in the spring and fall when she sheds up a storm to prepare for the change of seasons. It keeps her warm right through our Slovakian winter, and she is great for warming my feet on then. She is a happy girl, even if her "eyebrows" make her look serious. Check out the wagging blur on her tail - she could not keep it still for her picture! She is not just adorable, she is a great friend and member (with my rabbit) of the family.
