Carl was our big dog. He was a German Shepherd/Retriever mix. He lived a long time for a big dog, he was fifteen years old when he passed away in June.
Even though Carl was big and strong, he was one of the nicest dogs you'll ever meet! He loved to snuggle, and to go on long walks. He was always very social, and loved to meet new friends - whether human or other animals. He also was a self-appointed "nanny" as he loved look after children, which was so sweet. They usually loved him right away, because he was so sweet and fluffy, and patient with small hands if they tugged on his fur or ears. He loved to snuggle. He was good friends with our Miniature Schnauzer Schultzy, too, even though they were such different sizes.
We miss him very much, and will always love our big gold boy.
