Hi, it's Kiwi again. You might remember me from a couple of months ago when I was Dog of the Day for my birthday. It was a perfect day. My parents and siblings threw me an awesome party with doggy cookies. They were delish. Well that's enough about me. I'm here today to talk about my brother, Mickey. It's his 8th birthday today!
We've known each other for almost four years now. Mickey is a great guard dog and I learned from him how to bark at people who are trying to get into our house. Sometimes they come in trucks and vans that say FedEx, UPS, Amazon, and a bunch of random cars that say DoorDash have been coming lately. Mickey taught me to bark as much as I can when they come to our door because then they will run away. It works every time. Mickey also loves eating. He always helps me out and finishes my leftover since I am a picky eater, and that gets me out of trouble (please don't tell my parents). He loves going for a walk and he has excellent sense of directions. When we are close to home, he would guide us and pull us all to go back home. Sometimes Mickey and I will wrestle. I'm getting better but he usually wins, but hey he's 11 pounds bigger than me! Our mom loves to take photos as you can see. We're really photogenic so all our pictures look fantastic.
A little background on Mickey. His doggy mom's name is Tiny. She was living at a local park for months and our Great Auntie Diane would go and feed her when she'd walk Heidi, our cousin. One day, Tiny chased after Great Auntie Diane and Heidi when they were leaving the dog park. Great Auntie took her in, and little did she know that Tiny would give birth to five babies in a matter of weeks. My brother Mickey was one of those five babies. From what I know, my daddy would go and visit all the babies, but Mickey grew fond of my daddy and eventually Mickey got his forever home.
Fast forward a few years, my mommy and daddy fell in love and later got hitched during the pandemic. It was amazing because with so few guests, we were able to attend and even got to be ring bearers while our sister Minnie was a flower girl. How does Minnie fit into the picture, you ask? Well you will have to wait to hear that story on her birthday. But guys, we are one big happy family and I want to wish my brother Mickey the happiest of birthdays from the whole family. We have a fun-filled day planned for him. My parents will get us doggy cookies and plenty of extra chicken with our kibble. We might even get a bully stick because Mickey loves that, but we will see. Happy Birthday Mickey, you are the best brother I could ever ask for.
XOXO,
Kiwi
P.S. Do you see his "Mickey" mark on his back?
