My dog Zoey is a female dachshund, she is seven years old, and lives in Monroe, Louisiana. She is a miniature dachshund, and so some people think she’s still a puppy, but in her mind she is a much bigger dog. Sheis so cute,and has such a strong personality. She loves her toys, but will only play fetch until she decides it’s done, then just picks up the toy and trots off. She is an excellent watchdog - we do not need a doorbell, as she alerts us to anyone approaching the door befiore they can even knock.
She is not all bark and bluster - she is also a very sweet girl with her family, and loves to cuddle up with anyone who sits on the couch or even a chair. And given her small size, she can wriggle into the tightest space, and is a warm presence on cold nights. She may be a bit spoiled, but we love our girl very much.
