My dog's name is d'Artagnan, and he is a Goldendoodle - that's a Golden Retriever, Standard Poodle mix.
D'Artagnan is a golden doodle who started out as a rescue puppy and had to take two airplanes to get to home, he has been a dog on adventure ever since.
Parks, especially dog parks, and agility classes are great fun. He loves to go explore new places; woods, lakes, and even a few mountains - the weedier and muddier the better! While d'Artagnan prefers cooler weather and snow, he is happy to spend the summer swimming when it is hot. While I tend to resist, he has been given several shorter nicknames, the most common being: d'Arto
He is partial to kids because they know how to play! Unlike adults who often need to be convinced, and also have rules. The odds are against a half dozen kids chasing one dog, but he is happy let them almost catch him.
Noisy squeaky toys are the best, but only because frisbees aren't allowed in the house. When in a house he loves to go up and down stairs. He is notorious for heading up any stairs he can find.
He is famous around town for making people laugh as the dog who rides with his head out the sunroof in a white car. He has goggles he wears for higher speeds, and he never minds the rain - even if his chauffeur does. His Aunt Judy used fabric photos to immortalized him in the "Wonder Dog" quilt, and he is excited for further celebrity status as a Dog of the Day.
