Willow is a rescue dog and the best dog we could ask for. She is calm and great with kids. She likes other dogs and cats.
Willow is our first rescue dog. We originally went to the rescue to look at another dog but her foster mom looked at our family and told us she had a different dog for us to consider. She brought out Willow and we fell in love. Willow was rescued by a rescue that saves dogs from kill shelters in Kentucky. They typically take the dogs to a prison where the prisoners train them prior to adoption. Willow could not go to training because she was pregnant. Instead she went into foster care. We adopted her after her puppies had weaned.
She is pretty chill. She likes to be with her family and will be outside if we are outside or inside if we are in. She does not know any tricks, aside from sit and come. She loves food (human food, dog food and treats). She will communicate by barking or whining to tell us if she wants to go out or come in or be fed. She is really laid back and will go for a walk but it's more like a leisurely stroll where she stops to smell everything along the way.
