After wanting to adopt a dog for many, many years, I was finally able to do so in March 2021 when I went to pick out my dog. Norbie was such a cute and pleasant puppy that I knew he was the little guy meant for me. I named him after his human great grandfather who probably would have thought it was funny to have a dog named after him.
Norbie absolutely loves playing, often staring people down until they play tug-of-war or toss toys to him. He has never encountered a toy he couldn't destroy. He loves pulling the stuffing out of his soft toys, leaving fluff all over the house for me to pick up. He also likes to steal clothing and take off with it, so I learned quickly not to leave any laundry within his reach.
Norbie gets very excited to go traveling in the car since it's usually to see his human grandparents, his uncle or to go to the dog park. He loves meeting new dogs and people at the park, as well as getting to run, run, run. But he always keeps me in his sight and makes sure we don't get too far away from each other. Norbie has so much puppy energy that he also loves racing around the house and leaping from the living room furniture.
I'm fortunate to be able to stay home and spend most of my days with Norbie, but when I do need to work away from home, his human grandparents come to visit with him. He gets so excited when they arrive as he knows he'll get lots of walks and play time with them. And I have a sneaking suspicion that grandma may be giving him lots of extra treats....
Norbie is such an adorable, sweet and fun puppy. I'm so happy that he is my long-awaited-for dog.
