This is Django. He's seven-year-old Beagle mix I adopted from Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue.
Django is a bit spoiled as we go to the dog park almost every day. He's a real cuddle puppy.
Django is my first dog. I hate the idea of testing on beagles. When I wanted to get a dog and was able to, I made sure it was going to be a beagle. One of the sites that came up was Tampa bay beagle rescue. Amazing people. We met half way so I could pick up Django to do a sleep over weekend to see if he and I got along. I knew the second he jumped in my car he was staying. The whole two-hour ride home he stayed on my lap. He was about eight months old.
Over the years he's been amazing. He is very loving and protective, but not mean at all. He loves to play with other dogs, cats and kids. We go to the park almost every day after I stop for a smoothie and Django gets a spoon of peanut butter from his friends at 3natives (a local smoothie salad grab and go). He loves attention from everyone.
As far as games he likes to play fetch and will play with anyone except instead of bringing whomever threw the ball for him back to them, he brings the ball to me. And he always steals my wine corks!
He can sit on command and lay down but refuses to do paw and shake.
He truly is a best friend!!!
