Binky is an eight-year-old Yorkie dog. She and I live together at the Oregon coast. She doesn't know she is little - she goes after Seagulls that are bigger then her. It's funny to see.
This March 5th 2023, she will be nine years old. The last four years she has needed treatment for seizures, I give her meds every eight hours - 6am, 2pm and 10pm every day.
She is the only Yorkie dog I have had. I lost my wife of 53 years about six years ago, now Binky and I live alone in Seaside, she keeps me laughing, and I am amazed at how smart she is. My friend says she might be smarter then us! She attacks pop cans and plastic bottles if you throw them on the floor. She does not like other animals and doesn't know she is small, she will growl and act tough to a dog whose head is as big as her whole body. She knows the following phrase/commands:, sit and sit up, do you want to go and all gone. I say gimme when I want her to bring something to me. She is affectionate to me, family and friends but if she does not know you she doesn't want anything to do with you.
Binky wears sun glasses in the summer and when I walk her around at the beach people want picture of her.
All of her brothers and sisters were black and brown, she was the only one that had a white head and a silver body, she weighed only three and a half pounds when I got her.
I love her - she is my partner.
