This
is Rodney Dawgg. Rodney a.k.a. Rod the Mod a.k.a. RodRod a.k.a. Roddles
is a magnificent young man. A rescue at three months of age Rodney has been a
brilliant decision. Smart, handsome, with an eternal grand sense of humor,
Rodney is one of those dogs with a permanent smile of his face, a grand zest
for life and a propensity to break out in crazed zoomies when he races around
the house like a lunatic burning off a handful of puppy ergs.
Rod seems to inherited the best of his ridgeback side: dog of mirth, counter
surfer extraordinary and all around life of the party. But if you don't
interest RodRod he'll flatly ignore you. (That's been maybe five people so
far). Rod as I mentioned, has a terrific sense of humor and loves to be part
of the joke, but heaven forbid he be the butt of the joke. If Rod finds
himself being laughed at for being clumsy or something like that he will give
you the glaring of a lifetime. Of course he usually forgets this in about thirty
seconds and is back to trying to whatever ridiculousness he was doing in the first place.
Rodney, much like his ridgeback/whatever hound forebearers, sees himself as a
mighty lion hunter; his sock kills, stuffed animal guttings and hours spent
running back and forth on the backyard just hoping today is the day in which
that bird or squirrel will miraculously fall into his smiling mouth.
All around RodRod is a fabulous dog, we adore him and can't imagine our lives
without the little monkey. However I can guarantee our fifteen-year-old other
Ridgeback mix and seventeen-year-old cat feel quite differently about this young
whippersnapper...
