Hello,
my name is Emily! If you didn't know I am the best squirrel hunter in
the history of squirrel hunters. Well I've never caught one yet, but I'll
work on it! I have the softest fur ever it is black and grey and awesome! I
should make a website all about my fur! I am a really lucky dog because I
have the best family ever.
Emily is a our miniature schnauzer mix. She is a wonderful dog and is such an
important member of our family. She is very loyal. She is especially
protective of our daughter Avery and despite her small size, she has no
problem keeping the neighbours Burmese mountain dogs off her turf! Actually,
she's not a fan of most of the neighbourhood dogs. In fact, Emily is so smart
that we have to use a code name for the golden doodle up the street. If the
word "Charlie" is uttered, Emily's ears perk up and she makes a mad dash to
the window. We now call Charlie, "Chuck" to avoid the drama!
But although she shows her tough side to other dogs, she is the biggest
softie in the world. Whether we are gone two hours or twenty minutes, Emily
squiggles and wiggles with excitement and rolls onto her back at our feet.
And she absolutely needs to lay on or against someone when we are home! We
call her our "furry hot water bottle" because she is so snugly. She is the
perfect size to pick up for kisses and she loves to be carried around!
Emily is very sensitive to our emotions. If someone is upset, Emily sits
under an end table or other peculiar spot. Even if someone is heckling a
rival sports team on TV, Emily doesn't like the negative energy and we will
find her in bizarre places! She likes everyone to be happy.
She loves playtime and has learned several great tricks including roll-over
and giving "high five". Emily also loves the outdoors and she can run like
the wind. And if there is a squirrel nearby, her instincts kick in and she is
on the chase!
Emily really is the perfect mix of active and cuddly, protective and fun,
sensitive and outgoing. She is the best dog and a great fit for our little family.
