Introducing
Boo, the Pomeranian who has been declared "the World's Cutest
Dog" by the Internet. Boo's specialties include looking cute, having fun, and
rolling-up in a blanket to make a "Boo-rito." Boo has 9 million fans on Facebook,
and has been the subject of three books, a paper doll set and his
own calendar. He also has a page of
all his book-related products with his
videos and downloadable items.
Boo is his person's second Pomeranian - she already had a Pomeranian named
Buddy (which she still has), but was inspired to get a Pomeranian by Sharon
Osbourne and her Poms on The Osbournes tv show.
Boo likes to sleep, eat and play. He isn't keen on doing tricks, but he loves
to go on walks. He also likes to wear his favorite striped t-shirt,
especially when he leaves the house. Buddy appears in photos with Boo, in the
books and is also on the Facebook page. He has a regular Pom hairstyle. But
personality wise, they are like two peas in a pod. Something that happened
this past October was that Boo & Buddy got to meet Anderson Cooper, who is a
big fan of the dogs. What fun!
While Boo looks like a Teddy Bear, he's actually a Pomeranian with a unique
haircut. His birthday is March 16, and he shares it with Flavor Flav and
President James Madison! He is not a puppy, like some people think, he is
turning nine years old this March!
Boo's haircut attracts a lot of questions, but it actually started for a very
practical purpose! He has unusually thick, dense hair for a Pomeranian. As a
pup it became matted and the groomer suggested cutting it off and starting
over. Boo ended up liking that cut so much that he has kept it ever since.
When asked what has changed in his life since he became a celebrity, Boo says
"Sometimes when I go out in public people recognize me and want a photo with
me. But the coolest thing has been all the nice friends I have made from
around the world. It was also fun to meet George Stephanopoulus and Tory Burch."
Boo enjoys going on fun trips. One of his books takes place on a sight-seeing
trip around San Francisco. His recommendations for visitors are "Definitely
walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, go shopping on Union Street, and for sure
take a cable car, especially the Powell-Hyde route." One of his own favorite
trips was going to New York to appear on Good Morning America and get cuddled by Lara Spencer!
Boo is not just a cute face, he is a loved dog, which is of course, most important to him!
