This
sis Suna, I tell people she is a Doberwoman/Pointer mix. I am a
military veteran, and after my Dalmatian passed of old age while I was
deployed in Iraq in 2008, I waited until I retired from the military
to get another dog. My husband, who was in Texas while I was still in
Germany, found "Tilley" at a local pet adoption event and got her as a
surprise for me. Once I changed her name to "Suna," she became the
absolute dream dog! :)
Suna is so spoilt! Despite having an acre yard to play on, she goes on
her daily walks, bicycle trips, and in summer, daily swim adventures
where she is free to roam and chase ground squirrels and delicious
mouse snacks. Naturally, she expects her outings every day and lets me
know through loud howling and wailing that "it is time to go, Mom!"
Recently, however, I had surgery and had to stay in bed all day while
Suna laid with me without complaining or pressuring me. I had my
personal nurse right there next to me making sure I was okay. The next
morning, I was fit enough to take her walking. Thanks Suna for being the greatest!
