This
is LeeRoy, he is our four-year-old Rough Collie. We got him three
years ago from a terrible breeder, who was only breeding dogs for
profit. We were going to get a puppy from the man, but when I met
LeeRoy we just instantly bonded. The man told me that no one chose him
from his litter and that he was going to take him to the pound soon
because he wasn't "breeding material."
At first LeeRoy was a lot of work. He loved people, especially little
kids but he was terrified of other dogs. Eventually my other older
dog, Mojo, got him to open up and come out of his shell. Now they are
inseparable!! Another one of LeeRoy's best friends is a
fourteen-year-old black cat!
LeeRoy's favorite thing to do is to take a long relaxing walk or just
to hang around everyone. He also loves to please people. He can even
do some tricks like sit, lie down, come, stay, shake and speak. We love him!
