Kita
brings joy to our lives in every way. A wonderful find of my
daughter's, she is a rescue from the Caribbean islands - which is why
we tell folks she's a "Coconut Retriever." Kita is a hound dog and not
afraid to show it.
She is always the first one at the door to greet us with a toy in her
mouth. She has learned the Wheaten greeting from her older sister,
jumping and hopping around us in excitement. A friendly and happy girl
that has boundless energy, she never says no to playtime. She loves to
take long walks, lounge in the sun, or play with my son at the dog park.
Always happy to see us, she is a constant companion to our older Soft
Coated Wheaten Terrier, Mai. Those two are as thick as thieves. You
will never see one without the other. Kita loves to boss around her
older sister, subtly teaching her corrections in behavior and manners.
You won't find a better teacher than Kita.
She has stolen my family's hearts. We won't ever find another dog like our island hound.
