Lia
is my pup, she is a Border Collie x Australian Shepherd Cross. Lia is
afraid of everything. She grew up on a farm with no social contacts at all,
but still was totally trusting me from the first second we met. I already
have a dog, but the love I have with her is just different. It's like we
always know what the other is thinking. Going on a walk with her is
stressful; every car, every child and every noise scares her.
But she's a complete different dog when she's off the leash. She loves the
forest, jumping into every lake, river or pond, exploring the corn fields and
running through high grass at full speed - really showing the insane Border
Collie nature inside her. She's always defending me if someone gets too close
or yells at me, and never loses track of me when she's off the leash. Even
when I'm sleeping she's always there, laying between me and my boyfriend.
We started dog school two months ago and she totally loves it. It gives her
confidence and she slowly starts to gain trust to other people. I really love
her and hope that we'll have many, many years together.
