Cole is a silver lab. He is technically a dilute chocolate Lab. But I still love my precious boy.
My family has always loved labs. We had never heard of a Silver lab before so when we found out about them, we thought they were beautiful.
We had to drive all the way to Tennessee (us living in Ohio) just to pick him up!
He is the most attention-loving dog I have ever met, literally giving me
hugs when I open his kennel when I get home every day. Our neighbor has
a black Lab, and when ever Cole sees him, he follows him around, almost
as though they are best friends, although Gus wishes we never brought
him to our home!
One of Cole's favorite things to do is destroy our stuff.
We've already lost a few pairs of flip flops, and he destroyed his dog bed.
We're teaching him to retrieve ducks, doves, grouse, pheasants, and lots of
game, my family being a hunting type of family. He hasn't gotten used to
the sound of the guns yet, but he will soon. He is just a puppy, after all. And this is the job
his breed was created to do.
We have taught him how to sit, lay down,
wait, leave it, stay, drop it, shake hands, and speak! Oh, and his
favorite thing in the world is belly rubs! That pretty much sums up
Cole from head to tail!
