Benny, also known as Benny The Beagle-Borg is our Blue-tick Hunting Beagle. He's a rescue we adopted at four years old. He's a good boy who has been with the family for eight years after we adopted him after I worked with him for a college program. While he is a pup a mother can only love (he's truly the dog version of "problem child" haha!), but his good looks make up for it!
Benny is playful even in his old age, though the only trick he really knows is "sit pretty." His true passion in life is eating anything and everything he can find. Up until approximately two years ago he was extremely dog aggressive but my current small business and four years of extreme behavior modification have help him work through it all. He has had a turn around in his older years, which has been extremely nice since he is know a great playmate for most of the guest pups visiting us now. If given the chance, though, he'd run away and never come back, following some scent and forgetting he had a family completely. However when safely inside the home or if outside on a leash in our yard, he's a loyal and affectionate beagle - especially if offered the idea of food.
