This is Coco, my dear Chocolate Labrador, though she also goes by Coke, Crazy, Cu cu, Puppy and Baby. I got her from a breeder and she was the only female of eight puppies. She was a calm puppy, but that didn't last. By the age of two she was quite hyper and energetic. And even though Laabradors are well know as water dogs, she very much disliked water until she was four years old.
Now she loves fetch - and will fetch almost anything, catching frisbees, belly rubs, cuddles, jumping hurdles and swimming. She loves carrots and almost all other fruits and veggies. She loves everyone and mostly everything. She really dislikes rain though.
Now that she's getting old she's losing her hearing. She's calmer and slowing down. She isn't as active any more though she likes to think she can do what she can't.
She's been on one boat ride and absolutely loves car rides, though she can never decide which window to look out so she ends up running from side to side. On her boat ride, she spent more time chasing beavers than riding in the boat. I love her so much.
She'll be ten this spring. She's getting older and that's life. No matter how old she is, she'll always be my baby. I'll always love her.
