Beans has been involved with local celebrities to campaign against animal abuse as well as being on the Texas Rangers broadcast for "Bark at the Park," night when dogs come to the game. She's excellent at balancing things on her nose, too!
Beans is our first Golden. We decided to get her for several reasons. The main ones being her breed's intelligence, and having a great experiment for being around kids and other dogs. My wife and I were newly married and knew kids would be in the future. She has a great personality and is highly affectionate. She watches tv on the couch with us and sleeps in our bed with us. And she puts up with all sorts of hair and ear pulling from our now three-year-old and nine-month-old children.
She knows all the basic tricks. These include sit, shake, lie down, roll over, stay, etc. The balancing things on her nose thing is her best party trick though, as she can balance anything from a treat to a baseball bat (and can catch the food out of the air off her nose). She even has her own Twitter account: @BalancingBeans. We love her very much.
