Billie Alexandra-Chantelle Hoppe is my baby. She was born October 16, 2009 in California and raised here in Alaska. As of last year she was diagnosed with Addison's Disease. My father found her out on our back porch, laying down, and she was practically frozen. He knew she was still alive, so he picked her up and put her in the back of our truck. He got her to the vet and was able to get her warm again. The veterinarian said they needed to run some tests to find the cause, the next day we found out she had Addison's Disease. My father said we had to make the decision to either put her down, or give her monthly injections and daily medication to keep her alive. We chose to keep her alive because we loved her so much.
She is very silly, always nudging for more love and is mostly energetic but has her lazy days. Her favorite game is catch or just roughhousing with me or my sisters. She is very dependent, she loves walks and two years ago finally found her voice with barking and now she just doesn't be quiet. Ha ha, she is the life of the party when guests arrive! We love her very much, and are so glad the medicine is helping!
