This is my boy, Jessee. He was the best dog ever, and he's now in doggie heaven.
His original owner passed away when he was four, and through a circuitous route came to live with us. I wasn't anxious to have another dog, but we soon bonded, and became best friends. Jessee loved to play ball, and chase his toys, especially his snake. Kisses were his specialty, and he was very generous with them, even with strangers.
He wasn't crazy about taking walks, but knew I was, so he went with me every time for as long as he was able. Unlike walks, he loved car rides, especially those involving drive-thrus. He liked when they gave him treats, and knew the staffs at the bank, the pharmacy, and several restaurants. Jessee also loved his trips to the vet.
He was the most well behaved dog ever. He never went into any of the wastebaskets or the garbage. He never chewed on anything that wasn't one of his toys. He could always be trusted to take care of the house.
When I had a tough day at work, he'd be waiting for me with his tail wagging just to say "Welcome home. I missed you." I miss you, Bud.
