My name is Kayleigh, and I have ADHD, PTSD, and Bipolar Type II Depression. I struggled for the longest time with self-harm and panic attacks. My life was so messed up, and I couldn't do anything about it. But one day, my therapist recommended a therapy dog for me, because I was feeling like this 24/7. My parents contacted a training center for young therapy dogs, and I was assigned a young male golden retriever. We took him home for a few weeks, and he was perfect. He was so protective and sweet and he was trained to stop me from self-harm. Eventually, my parents agreed to keep him, and I named him Paco. He is my first dog and I love him more than anything. He goes with me everywhere, and I know he is always there for me during my dark places.
Paco is almost three years old, but still is big for a golden retriever. I think Paco is definitely special because without him, I can't function well. Paco is everything to me. He's all I have to hold onto. I hope you all fall in love with Paco as soon as I did.
