Meet Layla. She came to us through a wonderful rescue down south who had foster parents in our area in MN. We are not sure of her breed, but they had her listed as an Aussie mix - probably due to her one beautiful blue eye. She came to us at 6 months old and she took to her new home instantly. When we walk her through the neighborhood she likes to impress the neighbors with summersaults in the grass or snow. Speaking of snow, she can't wait for the return of the white stuff - us ... not so much.
She is a very calm and chill girl who will stand next to you for hours if you just keep petting her or rubbing her belly, but she also loves her walks or to go to the dog park and run like crazy, playing with the other dogs. Her one obsession is trying to chase bunnies. Thank goodness for our good harness and leash.
She knew the first time she met her grandma to be calm and not get overly excited, she just jumped onto the ottoman so grandma could pet and admire her.
She brings such joy to our lives. We both work from home and when she is not splitting her time hanging out with us in one of our offices, she is relaxing in the sunroom, which has been dubbed Layla's Office.
