Indi is a rescue dog from an abusive home. For the first eight months of her life she was beaten and kicked. Mum and I got her off a friend's grandfather, before we took her in, she was named Molly and we renamed her Indi. She learnt her name and was coming to it on the second day we had her. Indi is a super fast learner, and she is highly obedient. We don't need to enforce the rules, she just follows them.
Indi acts like the mother and playmate to my kitten, Simbah. When he was really young, she let him suckle, which is unusual behaviour for a dog because she chases other cats. She is a very motherly dog. She is also very loyal. If mum and I play fight, Indi will growl lightly and tell mum to back off. She is gentle around children and rarely snaps, the perfect family dog. We didn't get the first 8 months bonding with her, but we didn't need it, she is part of the family now, and she is one of the most precious things in my life.
