Nala
came to us at the age of eight weeks old, when I had fallen in love
with her right away. At times she can be a real pain in the behind but,
she's still a puppy. :) We adopted her from the Humane Society of North
Pinellas where she was with her littermates. She was the smallest of her
brothers and sisters from those I saw. She and her littermates had
kennel cough before we had adopted her.
Nala currently only knows a few tricks and is still "in training." She
can sit, lay, speak, roll over, hold things in her mouth, and flip
treats off her nose and catch them. She's quickly learning from her
'brother,' Simba,
who was previously Dog Of The Day. Nala very much enjoys food, rawhides,
and toys, Tons of Toys! Her favorite snack is carrots. She loves
to play tug of war, whether it be with a blanket, stuffie toy, or tug of
war toy.
She's my first 'real puppy', as my other dog was already 8 months and
fully out of the puppy stage when we adopted him. I've loved seeing her
grow into the gorgeous, almost dog she is --yet, i'm sad because it's
gone by too fast. She grew like a sprout, even within the first week we
had her.
Nala's rather protective when it comes to noises and strange people, but
once that noise or person approaches her, she's gone in a flash to hide!
She's all bark, no bite. :)
