Chloe was rescued one hour prior to her euthanization by Jericho's
Promise Animal Rescue. Her foster fell through, so she spent some time with a
friend of mine who had three other pitties. It was a difficult situation, due to
the fact that Marianne had two other dogs and Chloe didn't get along so well
with both of them. They always had to be separated. I would sometimes pick up
Chloe for a weekend to help out, but I had another foster at the time, and
could not take her. Alas, my home became available and the Princess became my
full time foster. I tried to find a home for her, but as time went on, the
love and the bond grew stronger and stronger.
All my friends would say "that's your dog" and I would respond no, she was my
foster dog. Recently, I decided I can't bear to part with her; she is a part
of our family. She is learning to trust and her separation anxiety improved.
Training will be life long and she will never be a "dog park" type of dog,
but I love her nonetheless. She is the sweetest thing ever and I love being
her mom. Her nickname is "stinky," but she does not get offended when I call
her that. She just loves that I talk to her all day long!
