We
want to introduce you to our newly rescued dog, Prince. Prince was rescued
from a breeder in Tennessee. He was covered in filth, had coronary ulcers on
both eyes, and his toenails were curling under his feet. He had been used as
a stud, and we suspect that he had no other socialization. Prince, a fawn
pug, is seven years old and incredibly lovable. He has been with us in Knoxville,
Tennessee for a very short time, but he has quickly wormed his way into our hearts.
Because of his lack of socialization with people, Prince is very skittish and
has a difficult time trusting humans. However, when Prince is around other
dogs (specifically, our other three pugs), he warms up and wags his curly
tail. It is amazing to see how resilient he is after the terrible things he
faced at his previous home. We are amazed at his progress and look forward to
seeing him grow. So far, we've come to realize that Prince loves squeezing
into tight spaces, likes water occasionally, and loves his adopted brothers
and sisters. And even though he tries to continually mark Mommy and Daddy's
furniture, he has become part of our family and will be loved and cherished
for the rest of his life. I hope you all enjoy his pictures as much as we do.
