Hello,
my name is Benji, I'm a Labrador Retriever and I live in Switzerland!
I was born in France on the 6th of June, 2006 so technically, I'm also the
Devil! I was rescued by my family when I was five. My previous owner in
Belgium and dumped me one day in some dog kennels and never came back to get
me. I stayed there for over six months, during which time I lost a lot of fur
because of stress, and the kennel owners ended up putting me up for adoption.
Then one day, my new family came to the kennels to collect their other dog
Bella, who had been there whilst they were on holiday, and fell in love with
me, so I went to live with them!
Now, I live in the Jura mountains in Switzerland with my family, Bella the
dog and Gaby the cat and I'm a very happy and loved dog! I'm enormous, my
owners sometimes joke that I might be part mastiff because I'm so big, even
for a male labrador. I love going on walks in the countryside and swimming in
the river. I'm also very smart and I can shake paws and play dead on command!
I sadly have a few health issues. I have epilepsy and dog eczema, so I have
bald patches. I also have almost no hair on my tail, as I kept wagging it too
hard and it kept breaking open and bleeding everywhere, what a mess. I'm
still incredibly handsome though!
