For
the longest time I always wanted a dog. I didn't care what breed of dog
just as long as I one day got one. Just a few months ago, my dream of finally
getting one came true. My family and I went down to our local animal shelter
and were lucky enough to adopt Jack.
Jack is wonderful. I never could have asked for a better dog. His papers say
that he is an Australian Shepherd mix, but my family and I believe that
somewhere in his bloodline he's got Border Collie in him. He's fun and loves
to play, especially tug-of-war. He loves to greet strangers with slobbery
kisses and wants everyone he meets to pet him, mostly tummy rubs. His
favorite activity to do though is look outside of any nearby windows or the
glass door whenever we open it for him. I think he mostly does it because he
loves to spy on others, especially all of the bunnies. He is very quiet most
of the time and only ever barks when he wants to play or if he sees someone
pass by the house that he doesn't know.
I love Jack to bits and hope to soon teach him all of the basic tricks. Right
now he already knows, kinda, sit, but other than that he still needs some
basic training. He's a great dog and all of my friends love him as well as my
relatives. Everybody who we pass by on walks thinks he's adorable and I
couldn't agree more. He's just one big fluffball who wants to have as much
fun as possible while the day is still young and bright.
