T-Bone
is a mutt. Our best guess is a mix of American Staffordshire Terrier,
American Bulldog & Dogo Argentino. His mother was recused as a puppy from a
breeder that bred fight dogs for a local "Motorcycle Club". His father was
used as collateral in a debt. We have had him since he was five weeks old, and
he is now five years old - he was born January 3, 2009.
T-Bone is a clown. We call him "The Confident Coward" because he is often
compared to Scooby-Doo. He is so big and so silly. But it makes him a
"target" for "bullies". Our family volunteers as a Foster Family for homeless
pets. Most of the time T-Bone is a huge part in this because he is such a
wonderful influence on the other animals. He is a "Doggy Hero" to us cause he
helps these animals so much. But still every night we have to stand guard and
keep the four "Foster Kitties" from beating him up and taking his food! And
you can see by the video what the Chihuahuas across the street do to him.
My husband is a Houston Fire Fighter/EMT and T-Bone has gone to the station
with him since he was a puppy. Fire Fighters are T-Bone's most favorite
people in the world! He loves going to the station with his Daddy. (Mainly
'cause they always give him good nums, that he isn't usually allowed to have,
when Daddy isn't looking)! T-Bone and my husband show why it's important to
never judge a book by it's cover. My husband served in the Navy, was a
Licensed Texas Peace Officer and now works as a Fire Fighter/EMT in Houston's
3rd Ward. But he also has visible tattoos and a "Pit Bull Type" dog.
They may look like "thugs" but both help save lives every single day.
And yes, T-Bone really is that silly in real life.
