Ness
is special because she, like most pit bulls, doesn't fall in the
stereotype you hear about all the time. She loves people, other animals
and her four-year-old lab brother Bailey. February 23 marked the end of the
first week we've had her and she's an awesome dog and already an
integral part of the family. I took her from a house whose owner would
be gone for long stretches of time to where she broke her crate to get
out of it to go to the bathroom in the house. We already have her house
broken and now she lets us know when she has to go out. She listens
extremely well though we are working on teaching her to lay down as she
was never taught that and some other simple tricks like shake and speak.
Once warmer weather comes I'm looking into getting her into agility
course training because she has so much energy. We are also going to see
how she does with catching frisbees as she's pretty good with tennis
balls, but not as good as her brother... yet... Though thankfully her
and her brother can get each others energy out during the cold weather
by chasing each other around and around the yard. She loves the company
of people and will follow anyone around the house even if you just get
up to grab something from the kitchen. She's one of the best dogs ever
and I wouldn't trade her for the world.
