My
dog is special because we hand raised her from a few days old when her
mother passed away. She sleeps with my horse in the stable and goes for rides
with us. She knows loads of tricks, sit, stay, lie down, paw, other paw, beg,
speak, 'bang' where she lies on her back and plays dead, she stands on her
back legs, she know 'through' which means she'll go through your legs and if
you say come round she'll circle in and out of them. 'Through' also refers to
any object with a gap or hole in and she will go through that. She also knows
'up' which means she will jump over my leg or a jump or can also mean going
up the sides of banking's when on a walk. She will also climb on your back
and stay on while you crawl around. Bella also knows 'kiss' where she will
give you a kiss which usually means putting her nose on your mouth and will
sometimes lick.
She's the most friendly and affectionate dog once she knows the person and
will defend you against anyone/anything. She's very mellow and relaxed in the
house and just lies there while she's dressed up in different outfits of my
own clothing. She won 'fancy dress' at our local dog show and also came first
in the agility class. She likes to stick close to you and has great re-call
training. If you leave her sight for a second she will run round trying to
find you. Her favorite games are definitely tug and catch. She gets carried
away with herself and completely rags the tug toy around while you're trying
to keep hold of it but always has that look of joy in her eyes when she's
stopped to catch her breath. Her eyes instantly light up and go into the
typical Collie stare whenever a ball is brought into sight. She is a very special dog.
