This
is my little girl Chula, My Savior. Chula is very special to me because
she's helped me through the loss of another dear dog. After my first dog
Canela had been hit by a car I developed a case of post traumatic stress
disorder I felt unsafe and that everything was going to be ripped away from
me, but this little angle helped me through the thick and thin. Even though
some days I still hurt she's there to wash away the pain with her pink
tongue. I would like to say I'm very lucky that I have found Chula, she's
such a sweetheart she's all I could ask for in a best friend and more. She
can read how I feel and acts nothing like a puppy it's almost as if she's
beyond her years it's incredible, but she has her moments. I don't see her as
my pet and or just my dog. Yes I tell her what to and what not to do, but
she's my friend and my family above all else not just another dog or family
pet. She has grouchy days, good days, bad, Happy, and even sad days but she's
still there if I need her just like she needs me.
Chula is originally from San Pancho Mexico. She used to be a street dog up
until she was three months old. Her rescuers found her and her sister looking
for a bite to eat in the trash. They said she had been underweight and
malnourished and they were lucky they found her when they did, or she might
not have survived. The organization that I found her is called NOBARS, so in a way I feel I'm helping
her as much as she's helping me.
She does bay much like a beagle it's adorable for the first few barks then it
drives you nuts, much like nails on a chalkboard. Here's a video of her
tearing up my grandmother's garden or as she thought, "helping dig the hole
bigger," while growling!
