Paris
was only 5 oz. (142 g) when I first saw her and very ill. I wrapped her in
blankets and begged the owners to let me have her. If she was going to die, I
at least wanted to give her a few days of tender love. She's a survivor.
After many vet visits and lots of TLC, she grew to be a happy and healthy five pound (2.3 kg)
bundle of joy. Paris loves nothing better than to be cuddled and loved by
everyone. She's a very special dog.
I could go on forever about how amazing Paris has been for nine years. She's
always been friendly and social. Let's everyone pet her and will spin in
circles to get attention. I have been carrying her in a kangaroo pouch since
she was 5 oz and when she sees it she gets so excited. She is tender and full
of personality. She's absolutely a survivor. At birth, her mother bit off her
left ear. She then became very ill, which is the time I found her. The
original owners had given up on her and she was left in a cage to die. She
survived again. At six years old, she was injured by a larger dog who had
pushed her away from a food bowl. It caused injury to her spinal cord and she
was paralyzed. After spending a week at Tufts and coming home to me, we
watched her slowly get better and within four weeks was back to spinning in
circles. The doctors as Tufts weren't sure she'd ever be able to walk again.
Once again, she not only survived, but thrived. She's my amazing Pomeranian!
