Here
is the beautiful Daisy, my big baby, and her story!
After having made the sad decision to euthanize our dog Charlotte (a
Golden/Labrador mix of nine years old who had cancer), we decided to look at
the classifieds for shelter dogs to see if one would interest us. A refuge
outside of Montreal had placed an ad for a baby Great Pyrenees/St. Bernard
who was six months old. She was just beautiful! So I decided to give my name to
be able to adopt her.
Two months had passed and I still had no news from the refuge, so I decided
to go directly to a shelter near home and I found my little Yoshi, he is a
poodle/Bichon Frisé who is one year old. He was in such bad shape that I did
not hesitate for a second to take him with me. He loves kids, he is a super
nice dog and he is very funny!
One month later, the shelter who had Daisy phoned me to see if I still wanted
her. Without hesitation, I said a big yes! Two days later, my mother, one of
my boys and my neighbor have left by car to pick her up, she was one and a half
hours away from my home! At the end of the day, Daisy appeared in my
backyard! She was so beautiful, big and majestic that my eyes were full of tears.
Daisy adapted very quickly to the whole family but also to little Yoshi. She
makes no fuss, when one of my boys who is autistic speaks and cries loudly,
throws things in the air or makes some very big commotion. She loves running
after squirrels, playing with other dogs, jumping in the snow and taking
naps! She is full of life and she "talks" a lot in her own way (lol). She is
so funny when she sleeps because she has very special positions and she makes
us laugh every time. Sometimes her St. Bernard side comes out when she
decides that she does what she wants, but otherwise she is a an excellent
dog. My two dogs get along very well and they play a lot together, even
though Yoshi is tiny!
I love my dogs :) We all wish you a Happy New Year, full of unexpected blessings!
