I
found Sammy in a shelter. He is a good example of the fact that you can
find purebred dogs in the shelter, not just mixed breeds no one wants! He was
such a friendly restrained animal with excellent manners. He had been found
after being abandoned in a forest. That is why I put his age as "probably five
years old," we do not know for sure.
Sammy is a fantastic dog, he is such a good boy with all kinds of people, the
only thing he dislikes is other male dogs of his size and age. But that is
easy to manage. Last year he had a severe operation, one eye had to be
removed because of a melanoma. He is still a great dog, and a happy one, and
does not seem to be affected by it at all. We are glad to have Sammy!
