Chichi
is from Hull's Haven Border Collie Rescue.
We have no idea why she was given up, as she is a very good little girl. When
I saw her picture I couldn't help but be charmed. Having two other (medium
and small) dogs, it was difficult to convince my husband to have another.
Eventually, he saw how badly I wanted a Chihuahua, and rescuing her seemed
like the right thing to do.
She travelled all the way to Canada from Missouri in a rescue transport.
Hull's Haven transports dogs all over Canada and the USA through many
channels of people (including people who own airplanes and fly them over!).
Little Chichi was nervously on board a fourteen-dog transport across North America
for roughly two weeks. (Snow-in weather prevented a transport for a week).
When she finally got here, she was very scared we were going to hit her. She
wanted to be petted so bad, but her fear kept her from getting close. With a
little time and patience she warmed to us and now has confidence and joy. She
bosses the other two from time to time! I don't think we could ask for more
amazing dogs than the three we've gotten, all through rescue.
