My mother and I rescued a little pup named Hercules when he was 8 months old. My dad said he wanted no part in having a pet dog, but was rolling on the floor getting puppy kisses within 30 seconds of having the pup his new home! Within a few days Hercules name was changed to Astronomer-Heen (Heen after the cute dog in the movie "Howl's Moving Castle") and he loved his new home, especially his new big backyard! We do call him Astro for short.
He has been the sweetest pet I've ever known, he has the best personality, and is very, very smart! He loves napping and treats and is happiest when his sister, momma, and poppa are all home with him and likes to lay in the room between the three of us, keeping his eyes on us with a smile on his face!
