Bayda is an approximately 5-year-old Golden Retriever mix with some Border Collie or Australian Shepherd in her.
She was born in Egypt and lived in a shelter her entire life until we rescued her and took her home.
She is the best example of how happy and thankful a rescue dog can be when it is given a second chance.
In a month's time, Bayda turned from being an unmotivated, overweight and
anorexic dog, into an active, happy and incredibly loving companion (who
loves her food now).
She loves long walks and she loves rolling in the grass. You can tell by
her excitement that she had probably never seen grass in those five
years she lived in the shelter. Bayda is incredibly sweet-tempered and
even though she knows nothing about life in a city, she trusts us and
tries very hard to master her fears.
Also in only a month's time, I could walk her on high traffic streets and I
could even ride the train with her. We took small steps in order not to
overstress her but she tells us with everything she has that she is
eager to learn.
We are so happy to have her and I am sure that she feels the same about
us. It was the best choice of my life to give her a chance and I could
only encourage everyone to also rescue a dog from a shelter.
