This is or Lady Rose or Lady Bug - it changes all the time! My dog is
special because I found her in 2013 on June 6th. It was a very hot day
about 95°F degrees (35°C). My friend and I were walking home from the
grocery store. I was helping her carry her groceries and we came across
this box on someone's front lawn near the street. The box said free
puppies. There were only two puppies in there, a female and a male
puppy. I grabbed them both and carried them to her house. My dad had
been saying he wanted another dog (he didn't specify the breed or
anything) and Father's Day was just around the corner, so I brought her
home that night with a bow on and a card.
My mom was actually kind of mad, because it was a surprise and I didn't tell
any of them, but once I told them how I found her and how dehydrated she
was they fell in love immediately. We gave her some water and food.
Watched her throughout the night because it was a Thursday so my vet
wasn't open - their days off are Thursday and Sunday. So the next day we
went to the store getting puppy food, puppy toys, a bed, and a collar.
We also got puppy pads and other puppy things. We took her to the vet
that afternoon and they said she was around 9-10 weeks old. They made
sure she was healthy and had no damages from being in the hot sun that
day. We did a DNA test to find out what kind of dog she was since we
only could see dachshund in her. The DNA test came back that she is a
Miniature Dachshund, Boston Terrier and Beagle mix.
She is super attached to me and I love her dearly. She is very very
smart. She knows sit, come, speak, lay down, paw, other paw, bang (play
dead), roll over, touch, spin, and sit up. She is 2 years old now and
very healthy. She loves dogs and cats, though she is a little timid and
scared of men. We don't know if she was abused as a little puppy or
what. It took her about a month to get used to my dad and brother. She
is very spunky and loves her toys. Her favorite toy is this hedgehog or
porcupine not sure what it is from Walmart. I am glad I have her in my
life. She is such a character. She sleeps under the covers with me. She
has a bundle of toys she has to share with my other two dogs. She has
her own bundle of toys in my bedroom that are hers alone. She is a very
spoiled dog and I wouldn't change anything about her.
