Mako is special because he puts a smile on everyone's face that he comes in contact with.
One day I went to the pet store to pick up some food for my other pets at the time. I noticed a puppy sitting in the cage and thought she was the cutest thing I've ever seen. I asked about her and they told me she was a Papillon which I've never heard of. I was like, wow she was beautiful, so I asked how much they wanted for her and they said $2000 and then it stopped there. My girlfriend at the time (now my ex) and I had five pets. So I ended up going back three weeks later to get some more pet food and I ended up seeing the lady that I spoke in the first place about the puppy. She asked me if I was there for the Papillon, and I said, "No but it looks like you sold her anyway." She said, "No, we did not ..." I started to say I didn't see her in any of the cages and she said, "Yes, you walked right by her." I said, "Wow she doesn't look like the same puppy." The woman said, "After the last time that you saw her, she stopped eating," and asked if I was still interested. I said yes, but we argued about the price, and I ended up getting her for just $750. From that day forward she became my little Gizmo. She will be seven years old in March and weighs 5 1/2 pounds.
I end up breaking up with my ex, so then it was just me and Gizmo. I felt bad for Gizmo during the day when I went to work, as she was alone and she didn't have the other pets to keep her company. This is where Mako comes in. I originally went to see Mako's brother, but when I got there, the other puppy - my now dog Mako - wouldn't leave my side. So you can kinda of say they both picked me. I ended up taking both home, so now have three of the breed I had never heard of before that fateful day! Mako and Gizmo are both very affectionate and as far as tricks goes all three know the basics. Mako likes to have his picture taken, as you can see. He seems to know where the camera is and poses accordingly! They love for going for rides and going to the beach to run around. Mako is now just under two years old, and I love him very much.
