Teddy is a rescue dog that came to us from a veterinarian (our daughter) he had a heart problem known as PDA. His previous owner was unwilling to spend $3000 to $5000 to have the operation done, so he was going to be euthanized. He was a pound and a half when we received him. We took him to UC Davis where he was the smallest dog ever to receive a coil in his heart to correct the problem. Today Teddy is a happy healthy three-year-old.
Teddy knows quite a few tricks including sneezing on command. He plays dead, rolls over, sits up on hind legs, jumps over my leg and loves to fetch. One of his favorite things to do is wait at the rear door for the squirrels to appear. He now realizes that he can't get them so instead he grabs his toy and shakes it as if he's got a hold of the squirrel. He's quite a character. He's one of the more affectionate dogs I've ever had and I've had quite a few, mostly Australian Shepherds and Golden Retrievers which are known for being affectionate! He is a bundle of joy.
