James Dean was a shelter dog for two years, I found him on a pet adoption site and instantly fell in love with his sweet face. He is a "Bullador" the nickname we give an American Bulldog, Labrador Retriever mix. I wanted a day or two to schedule an In-House meeting. When that day arrived I was nervous and excited all at once. I couldn't help but smile when I saw them let him out of the car, he was such a sweet dog. We brought him inside due to it being rather warm outside so during the meeting the women who brought him for the meeting said "Don't worry, he won't get on any furniture" and at that second he jumps up and cuddled with me on the couch.
After that meeting all I could think about was him, and I had to have him in my life. At the time I started to think about adopting him I was still heartbroken over the loss of my rabbit (Jack Daniels) but something told me having James in my life would help, so I emailed them for the adoption application and filled it out the same day. Two weeks went by until I got the phone call I needed. James Dean was mine and they would be bringing him to me.
July 31st was the day he would come home to me, I waited for them to arrive with James as soon as the car pulled into the yard I started to cry, he was my furbaby finally. Ever since then he has been spoiled rotten, as of course every dog should be! He is a sweet loveable dog who just wants to cuddle and play.
He will have his first camping trip hopefully in the summer along with some hiking and his first time playing in the river. I love my sweet James Dean and I will never give him up.
