This is Ruby. She is six years old and has more dogs than we can count in her from the lowslung Clumber Spaniel to the tallest dog in the world, the Irish Wolfhound! According to testing she is Staffordshire Terrier, Springer Spaniel with Boykin Spaniel, Flat Coated Retriever, Newfoundland, Clumber Spaniel, and Irish Wolfhound as well!
She is constantly wagging her tail causing her entire body to wiggle from side to side. She likes to point out anything that moves and she has to make sure we see it. After pointing for mere seconds she bolts off after it with determination to catch it. When she's not chasing things or running non-stop, she's either begging or in our laps. She thinks she's a lap dog even though she weighs upwards of 50 pounds. Every time she gets a new toy she acts like it's her duty to thrash the thing from side to side, slamming it on the ground until fuzz is all over our house.
We were looking for a new dog, and instead of going to a breeder we decided to rescue a dog. We found Ruby the day before she was going to be put down. We are so glad we found her before she was euthanized because she is the best thing that could have happened to our family. Although we go through two squeaky toys a week, we love her and she is just the sweetest thing ever!
