Ivy the French Bulldog truly is awesome. You can see from the photos how happy she always is, and part of this is because of her job. She is a certified Therapy Dog visiting hospitals, nursing homes, schools and wherever she can spread love, hope and joy. She is ten now and has been doing this for eight years, but in the last year she had a spinal injury and now has the wheels to get around. This does not dampen her spirits at all, and she cannot wait to meet the next patient or child. I have had many dogs but have never had one with as big a heart as she has. She makes me laugh everyday. So now SHE is special needs and visits people with special needs.
She also modeled for a national company until she started getting grey in the cheek area and, lo and behold, was told she no longer could because she was greying. Age discrimination, just like people! We didn't mind though, because she did it for six years and loved the attention.
The most fun she has (besides trying to destroy her evil Trump doll) is watching the squirrels and wishing she could catch one. Living in the Northeast, she needs to wear sweaters and coats outside, and I swear she has a better wardrobe than me. She is my little "Diva" with NO attitude though. Love this special dog! I am blessed to own her. P.S. Our wish has always been for us to fly out and meet Ellen DeGeneres who is a big dog lover. We will keep trying.
